Sylvano Comvalius ha sealed his return to Maltese football as the Dutch striker has agreed to join Sliema Wanderers.
The Premier League side that the 31-year-old striker had agreed terms with the club and will start pre-season training with Andrea Pisanu.
“Our new towering Dutchman needs no introduction here in Malta, having already spent two years of his career here, winning the Maltese League in the process,” the Wanderers said in a statement.
“Throughout his career Sylvano has also played in 10 different countries and amongst others holds the record for the highest amount of goals scored in a single season in the Indonesian Top division with a remarkable 37 goals.”
Comvalius arrived in Malta in season 2008-09 where he joined Ħamrun Spartans with whom he enjoyed an excellent season scoring 14 goals in 22 appearances.
The following season he moved to Birkirkara where he netted 15 goals to help the Stripes win their third league championship.
From then on Comvalius moved to various leagues around the world, namely Germany, Scotland, Ukraine, Kuwait and Indonesia.
