Rachel Cuschieri opened her account on her debut game as she helped Lazio secure a comfortable 10-1 win over Pontedera in their Serie B opener.

Martina Borg was involved in another pre-season tune-up as Sassari Torres faced a boys side from Usinese Calcio.

Nicole Sciberras played two games over the weekend as Juventus Women Primavera faced Empoli and Florentia San Gimignano in a pre-season tournament. Against Empoli, the Bianconere drew 2-2 before losing out on penalties while they defeated Florentia 8-1 in their third-place game.

BELGIUM

Malta national team new entry Teddy Teuma played for Union St. Gilloise against Club Brugge U-23 side in Belgium’s second-tier, drawing 1-1.

PORTUGAL

Malta international defender Zach Muscat made his debut in Portugal’s second-tier with Casa Pia AC. In their league opener, Casa Pia managed to hold on to a 2-2 draw with hosts Leixoes.
