Valletta have completed the signing of Argentine attacking midfielder Jonathan Ivan Requena.
The 24-year-old trained with the Citizens in the last few days and impressed coach Jesmond Zerafa enough to offer him a contract until the end of the season.
Requena started his career with Argentine top club Banfield with whom he spent four seasons.
After a short loan spell in the MLS league with Atlanta he moved to Defensa-y-Justicia before last season he made a big move to Paraguayan club River Plate.
During his spell with River Plate, Requena made 16 appearances, netting one goal.
Requena is now expected to to be part of Valletta’s squad for their next Premier League match against Gudja United on November 21.
