Branko Nisevic is back in football management in Malta as the Serbian was appointed as the new sporting director at Premier League leaders Sliema Wanderers.
“Branko Nisevic has been appointed as Sporting Director at Sliema Wanderers,” the Premier League club said.
“Branko is another top-notch acquistion made by our President Mr Jeffrey Farrugia, and will be certainly adding a lot of experience and quality to our coaching staff.”
At Sliema, Nisevic will be involved in the first-team management alongside coach Andrea Pisanu and his assistant Noel Turner.
Nisevic is a familiar face in Maltese football having arrived here as a tough-tackling defender who was on the books of Valletta and Birkirkara among others.
Once he hung up his boots, Nisevic went into management and was at the helm of Hibernians and Gżira United among others.
His last coaching job was with the Malta Football Association where he served as assistant to former Malta coach Ray Farrugia.
