Floriana are set to complete their first signing of the January transfer window as they have offered a contract to Dutch midfielder Jeroen Lombe, the Times of Malta understands.
The Greens are passing through a lean spell in the Premier League which has seen them fall off the pace in this season’s title race and are keen to bring in reinforcements to try and turn their fortunes around.
Lombe is a 25-year-old Dutch midfielder who came through the youth ranks of Willem II before he headed to Bulgaria where he signed for top side Ludogorets.
With the Bulgarian champions, Lombe spent two seasons before returning home to Heerenveen.
From then a short spell in the lower ties of German football followed before having spells with Samsunspor, in Turkey, India’s Odisha and Petrolul, of Romania.
Last season, Lombe was on the books of Georgian giants Saburtalo.
