Yuri Messias has finally completed a move to Bahraini side East Riffa.
The Brazilian forward left Gudja United to head into the Middle East and join East Riffa who are enjoying a very positive season in the Bahrainin Premier League.
In fact they are currently third in the Premier League standings on 16 points, nine adrift of leaders Al Riffa.
Next week, they are scheduled to face Al Riffa for a place in the Bahraini King’s Cup final.
Messias arrives in Bahrain after a very good opening half of the season as the Brazilian forward was the most prolific player in the Premier League this season when netting 13 goals.
This will be Messias’ second spell in the Middle East after he had played for Saudi Arabia’s Al-Jabalain in 2019.
During his spell in Malta, Messias was also on the books of Mosta, Msida St Joseph, Naxxar Lions, Valletta and also Gozitan side Nadur Youngsters.
