Malta international Alexander Satariano has completed his move to Serie B side Frosinone, the Italian club announced on their social media.
In recent weeks, the Times of Malta had been reporting about Satariano’s potential move to Italian football with a number of clubs chasing his signature.
At the end, it was Fabio Grosso-led Frosinone who managed to sign the Maltese player on a three-year deal until June 2024.
Satariano, 19, has been on the books of Sliema Wanderers for the past two seasons with whom he played 34 games, scoring 8 goals and grabbing 2 assists in the process.
The young forward made a name for himself at international level with his eye-catching performance against Slovakia in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying match back in March, where he scored one of Malta’s goals in the prestigious 2-2 draw.
He has nine international caps, all under Devis Mangia.
Last season, Frosinone – under the guidance of another former Italy international in Alessandro Nesta – finished 10th in the Serie B.
