Croatian attacking midfielder Curjuric set to sign for Valletta FC

Valletta FC are set to continue to strengthen their squad as they are closing in on Croatian attacking midfielder Ivan Curjuric.

The 31-year-old attacking midfielder has agreed personal terms with the capital club and is set to put pen to paper on a one-year contract.

Curjuric came through the youth ranks of Hajduk Split and established himself in the club’s senior team.

In 2013 he moved to NK Zagreb before heading to Cyprus where he played for Nea Salamis.

He also had spells in Greece with PAS Lamia and Romania with ACS Poli.

In 2018 he moved to Bosnia Herzegovina where he played for top sides Zrinjski, Zeljeznicar and FK Olimpik.

With FK Olimpik, Curjuric made 11 appearances and provided four assists.

Curjuric is the latest arrival at Valletta FC who have already confirmed the signings of goalkeeper Alessandro Guarnone, defender Christian Gauci, midfielders Michele Sansone and James Arthur, winger Caio Prado and striker Milan Jurdik.
