Malta international Emma Lipman will be donning new colours in the upcoming season after putting pen to paper on a deal with Como Women in Serie B.
Last season, Lipman contributed to Lazio women’s wonderful campaign which resulted in the Biancocelesti‘s return to the Serie A after eight years.
Lipman, who has 10 caps with the Malta national team, will be playing Serie B football again with a team that is striving to be among the top challengers.
In fact, Como appointed former Inter U-19’s coach Sebastian De La Fuente to take charge of the team and have brought in a number of promising players who were under his guidance namely midfield duo Lucia Pastrenge and Elisa Mariani together with forward Elisa Caravetta.
Como also signed Alison Rigaglia from San Marino – who were in Serie A last season and Chiara Cecotti who was on the books of Switzerland’s top-tier side Lugano.
Lipman joins Nicole Sciberras – who signed for Tavagnacco – and Martina Borg – who will play for Roma CF – in Maltese players featuring in the Serie B in the 2021/2022 campaign.
Last season, Como finished fifth on 40 points.
This will be Lipman’s fifth club in Italy after her previous spells at Hellas Verona Women, Roma, Florentia San Gimignano and Lazio.
