Teddy Teuma captained Royale Union Saint-Gilloise as they returned to winning ways after defeating Sint-Truidense VV 2-1 in the Belgium top-tier, on Friday night.
Last week, RUSG were defeated 3-1 by Oud-Heverlee Leuven as their lead was cut to just four points ahead of this Matchday.
Following this victory, RUSG are now seven points ahead of Royal Antwerp who will face K. Beerschot V.A and Club Brugge who host RFC Seraing on Saturday.
In Friday’s game, Teuma was deployed from the start and produced the winning assist with his well-weighted corner-kick which Deniz Undav converted into goal.
