Mġarr United women’s team have bolstered their squad with the signing of Ecuadorian defender Nicole Espinel Bautista.
Bautista, 27, will join a defensive department that boasts the best record in this season’s MFA Women’s League as they are yet to concede a goal.
The Ecuadorian player comes from a background in Futsal, having played in five-a-side squads in her native country.
Mġarr are involved in a two-horse race title with Birkirkara as they seek their first ever women’s championship.
They will face Mtarfa in their second 2022 game on Tuesday night after defeating Raiders Lija 2-0, last week.
