Emma Ciantar Piccinino was handed her Middlesbrough women’s team debut as she played for the Reserves team in the Reserve Northern Division, on Sunday.
The Maltese youth joined the club over the weekend and immediately joined the Reserves side for Sunday’s league away trip against Chorley.
The Malta U-19’s women’s international was in the starting formation and played 75 minutes during the Chorley game as the latter clinched a 4-0 victory.
Meanwhile, Ciantar Piccinino will be involved in Wednesday’s semi final in the National Football Youth League Cup as her Sunderland FoL will face Huddersfield while fellow Maltese colleague Alexandra Gatt will play for Barking Abbey against Sunderland Team B.
