Maltese youngster Leo Agius was handed his FC Lugano U-21’s debut in Sunday’s league game against Linth.
The U-21’s side – called Team Ticino – feature in Switzerland’s fourth tier and hosted Linth in Sunday’s game, with Lugano falling to a 1-0 defeat.
Agius, 19, was named on the bench and came on as a substitute seven minutes from time.
The Floriana product moved to Switzerland after a spell at Belgium’s KVC Westerlo, with whom he played at youth level.
