Uruguayan player Ricardo Correa is set to stay at Gżira United for another season after the Maroons announced the contract extension on their social media channels.
Correa, 27, played only 10 games last season after undergoing an ACL surgery which practically sidelined him for majority of the season.
He returned in action in April and played in Gżira’s final three games of the season – against Ħamrun Spartans, Gudja United and Hibernians.
Correa, who joined the Maroons in 2020, is expected to be an integral part of Darren Abdilla’s team which will represent Malta in the upcoming UEFA Europa Conference League qualifications as well.
