Ħamrun Spartans left no stone unturned in reaching every element of their wide support base in sharing the celebratory mood after claiming the ninth Premier League title in their history last April.
This time around, players and officials from the club visited supporters who are residing in the Corradino Correctional Facility.
Through this visit, Ħamrun Ħanin, the voluntary organisation taking care of the club’s CSR activities, sought to to bring the values of joy and inclusiveness to those who for one reason or another are currently residing in this facility.
Two of the key elements of the Ħamrun winning-squad, Ognjen Bjeličić, and Roko Prsa, met with a number of CCF residents and shared respective experiences.
Team Manager David Camilleri and Kit Manager Gilbert Camilleri were also present.
The players and officials were welcomed by the Facility’s Director Christopher Siegersma and by Manolito Micallef, the latter being responsible for the coordination of sporting activities at the CCF.
Ħamrun Ħanin chairman Ian Debattista said that Ħamrun Ħanin was proud to organise a special visit among residents who continued to follow their favourite team despite challenging circumstances.
He expressed the belief that this visit will provide the residents with courage and determination to work harder towards their rehabilitation and be able to rejoin the community as soon as this is possible.
