Ivan Woods has selected his Malta U-21 squad as they will host Belarus in a couple of home friendlies on June 5 and June 8.

This international window will serve the U-21’s selection as preparation for their second part of the European qualifications which will resume in September with matches against Kazakhstan and Scotland.

Jake Engerer, FA Trophy winner with Sliema Wanderers on Sunday, is named in the squad together with Floriana’s Owen Spiteri, Aleandro Garzia and Mattia Veselji, both playing part in the final as well.

Valletta’s Keyon Ewurum, 17, has been included by Woods. Ewurum, who was part of the first-team this season, helped the Citizens win the U-19’s championship as they qualified for the UEFA Youth League.

Two Żabbar St Patrick players have also been named in Miguel Azzopardi and Leo Agius, both playing a crucial role in their club’s promotion to the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Jake Micallef, based in Portugal at Leixoes and Reading U-21’s Basil Tuma have been called up as well.
