Swieqi United president, Dr. Justin Fenech, and Saviour Darmanin, who works as the club’s goalkeepers’ coach, made a significant donation to their Nigerian partners Ilaji FC.
The Nigerian team were gifted 25 sets of jerseys to the academy players and 11 pair of gloves to the goalkeepers during an event at the Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, last Friday.
Dr. Fenech said that this donation is aimed at encouraging the young players with assisted gifts to keep pursuing their hopes of playing professional football.
Responding on behalf of the management of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief Operating Officer, Prince Adesina Araoye expressed gratitude to the Swieqi United delegates.
