Former Manchester United defender David May was pleased to return to the Maltese islands and celebrate the Manchester United Supporters Club Malta’s 65th anniversary with the local fans.
A two-time Premier League winner with the Red Devils, May spoke fondly of his time on our shores while lauding the local supporters for the warm welcome they gave him and the other former United players coming to Malta for this anniversary.
Asked about his thoughts on Manchester United’s upcoming campaign, May said that he is delighted that Erik Ten Hag has deservedly earned another shot as club coach.
“Another cup would do it,” he told the Times of Malta when asked about how Manchester United can make the local fans happy.
