Spanish journalist explains Barca’s La Liga success, Real troubles
Fresh from a couple of solid showings with the Malta national team against the Faroe Islands and Spain, Rowen Muscat has now shifted his attention to the domestic league where his club Valletta are leading the BOV Premier League.
The Times of Malta sports desk joined Muscat for a conversation about the Malta national team outings in the Euro 2020 qualifiers while diving a bit into Valletta’s environment as they gear up to face rivals Floriana, hoping to extend their lead atop the Premier League table.
Meanwhile, Spanish journalist Diego Miguel Fernandez (Mediaset Espana) spoke to our website again, this time giving a detailed explanation about Barcelona’s success in the La Liga and what difficulties Real Madrid have faced this season.
Moreover, in this audio Rowen and Diego also discussed:
(Rowen Muscat) What could help the national team improve: “One of the disadvantages that we have is that we do not meet enough to work on our tactical systems.”
(Rowen Muscat) Leading the domestic league, does that put extra pressure on Valletta: “I think that Valletta feel more pressure on their shoulders when they are not leading the championship…”
(Diego Miguel Fernandez) What was one of the problems of Real Madrid this season: “Real Madrid struggled a lot due to the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo – they did not have a player on whom to bank whenever they were in trouble.”
