Bojan Kaljevic has bid farewell to Valletta FC after the Montenegrin striker reached an agreement with the Premier League club to rescind his contract.
“Today was my last day in FC Valletta. It was a pleasure to play for one of the biggest club in Malta. I wish to my team mates and the club good luck in the future,” Kaljevic said.
“Now it’s time for a new challenge!”
It is understood that Kaljevic is looking at his options but his plan at the moment is to stay in the Maltese Premier League.
The towering striker has been on the books of Valletta FC for
the last two seasons after moving to the capital club in season 2017-18 from
Balzan.
During that first season, the Montenegrin forward made 18 league appearances,
netting 11 goals to have the club win the Premier League title.
Last season, Kaljevic made 15 appearances but managed to find the net twice as Valletta missed out on the title to their neighbouring rivals Floriana.
During his stay in Malta, Kaljevic was also on the books of Mosta and in total he made 128 Premier League appearances and scored 71 goals.
