Speaking to the club’s website, Formosa expressed his happiness to have joined.
“It’s something I’ve been working hard to achieve this year and when I was given the opportunity to join the Wolves it was a no brainer for me,” Formosa said.
“The communication with Coach Andrew (Summerville), along with the professionalism of the club and its facilities makes it an environment I hope to thrive in. I’m grateful to be given this chance. I’m really looking forward to getting on the court and building good chemistry with my teammates and working hard to hopefully win the championship this NBL1 season.”
The 6’3 guard is one of a number of new signings for the club and coach Andrew Summerville highlighted that Formosa is a “perfect fit” for the side.
“Our team has a lot of talented players and we needed someone who could come in and create for themselves but also understand our system and create for others,” Summerville told the club’s website.
“Jacob compliments our other players but is also capable of having some big games himself. Having another player on our team who has played professionally in Europe is great for us, not to mention the fact he has represented his country at FIBA International tournaments. Jacob is a strong guard with great athleticism. He can defend, rebound and play multiple positions.
