Malta international Rachel Cuschieri scored her second goal for Lazio this season after she was one of the scorers in their 5-0 win over Chievo Verona Women in Serie B.
The former Anderlecht and PSV player capitalised on a well-engineered transition that led to Lazio’s 3-0 before the break.
Three points that boost Lazio’s hopes of a Serie A promotion as they moved to second place on 38 points, one point behind leaders Pomigliano but who have a game in hand.
Only the top two teams in Serie B move into the first-tier in Italy with Lazio having five games left including the derby with Roma Calcio Femminile and a potential promotion decider with Tavagnacco on the final day of the season.
Cuschieri has played 19 games so far in her first spell at the blue side of Rome and had opened her Lazio account on the opening day against Pontedera.
