Naah set for Finland move as Kaljevic and coach Filipovic leave club
Mosta forward Christ Ememe could be heading for Croatia as first-tier side NK Istra are interested in his signature.
The Nigerian player left a good impression in Croatia after undergoing a trial with the club that is sitting eighth in the 10-team Croatian Premier League.
Ememe, 19, took the Premier League by a storm as he netted seven goals in 19 appearances on his maiden campaign. Most notably was his brace in the 3-0 upset over Birkirkara earlier in the season.
In addition, the Mosta youth product has also grabbed one goal in two FA Trophy appearances.
Meanwhile, the Blues could part ways with another player as Divine Naah is closing in on a move to Ilves, in Finland’s top division.
Naah, formerly of Manchester City, joined Mosta in February and left a good impression having scored four goals in eight games in all competitions, including a brace in the 3-2 victory against Sta Lucia.
Star striker Bojan Kaljevic won’t extend his contract at Mosta. The Montenegrin player scored 16 goals in 22 games – he finished third in the league’s top scorer with 14 goals.
Coach Davor Filipovic is also set to leave Mosta’s post as he is looking to seek pastures new.
