Malta U-17, U-16’s selections set for Slovakia camp

The U-17’s and U-16’s Malta national teams headed to Slovakia as they will undergo a short training camp during this November international window.

Both teams are scheduled to play two friendlies where they will meet local sides FC Dunajska (U-17’s team) and FC Petrzalka (U-16’s team).

Led by coach Ivan Woods, the U-17’s side are at the back of the European qualifications which saw them face Turkey, Denmark and Montenegro at the Tony Bezzina Stadium.

U-17’S SQUAD:

GOALKEEPERS
Dominic Vella (Birkirkara), Neil Tirchett (Luxol St. Andrews).

DEFENDERS
Thomas Howland (Pietà Hotspurs), Gabriel Zammit (Birkirkara), Jayden Ohaka (Paola Hibs),  Ivin Farrugia (Pietà Hotspurs), Edvard Lee Agius (Pietà Hotspurs), Isaiah Chukunyere (Paola Hibs), Josiah Mallia (Valletta), Kian Vella (Ħamrun Spartans), Mason Agius (Mosta).

MIDFIELDERS                                                   
Timothy Cachia (Luxol St. Andrews), Kaiden Fenech (Birkirkara), Raul Formosa (Floriana), Nicholas Mifsud (Mosta), Gabriel Vella (Ħamrun Spartans).

FORWARDS
Russell Caruana (Mosta), Ensell Attard (Mosta), Sean Gatt (Luxol St Andrews), Trezeguet Zammit (Ħamrun Spartans).

On the other hand, the U-16’s who are coached by Andrea Vella, faced the Republic of Ireland in a double-header on home soil in September before travelling to Montenegro where they played two games against the home nation in October.
