Roma Calcio Femminile midfielder Martina Borg left her team’s Serie B game with an injury, on Saturday afternoon.
The Malta women’s international player did not land safely on her feet from an aerial duel with an opponent just before the half-time whistle.
Borg was consequently subbed off.
Roma CF went on to score a point as they drew 1-1 with newly-promoted Palermo as Borg’s team has now secured three positive results in a row after beating Pink Bari and holding Tavagnacco to a draw.
Borg’s team is due to face Serie A giants Juventus next weekend, in a Coppa Italia group game.
