A high-profile meeting for Malta women’s international player Nicole Sciberras as she crossed swords with Serie A side Roma in the Coppa Italia Femminile, on Saturday.
Donning the colours of Serie B side Tavagnacco, Sciberras was deployed from the start as she had the task to keep the likes of Italy internationals Annamaria Serturini and Benedetta Glionna at bay.
Roma, who are the defending champions of this competition, emerged winners 5-0 as Tavagnacco succumbed to their second defeat in the Coppa Italia after losing to another Serie A side in their opener, Pomigliano.
