Swieqi United women’s team are the latest side to be active in this winter transfer window after bringing in Brazilian forward Fernanda Peinado.
Peinado, 29, made her Swieqi debut in Tuesday’s league against San Ġwann and she marked her first appearance with two goals.
This will be Peinado’s third spell in Europe after featuring for Portuguese sides A. Dos Francos FC and Atletico Ouriense FC.
The Brazilian striker has an impressive resume having also played with Brazilian teams XV Piracicaba FC and Celinadia FC. She had also spells in the United States at Cloud Community College.
