Maltese youth Alexandra Gatt was part of the Barking Abbey U-21’s side that managed to pull a 3-2 victory over Arsenal WFC Oaklands Academy in the National Football Youth League – League Cup, on Wednesday.
Barking Abbey are now one of the four semi-finalists of the League Cup which include also Emma Ciantar Piccinino’s Sunderland Foundation of Light.
Another solid result for Gatt against a high-profile after she was a protagonist for Barking Abbey in their 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur, earlier in the season.
On that day, the former Mġarr United player had grabbed a brace including a wonderful free-kick which earned her team a famous victory.
