Goalkeeper Timothy Aquilina has pledged his future with Sliema Wanderers after the Blues announced his contract extension, on Thursday.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper has been one of the mainstays of Sliema’s team during this 2021/2022 campaign. He played 10 games so far.
A product of Sliema Wanderers, Aquilina has over 50 Premier League appearances including 24 with the Blues with whom he made his debut back in the 2015/2016 season.
Throughout his career, Aquilina has also featured for Senglea Athletic, Sta Lucia and Tarxien Rainbows.
During the winter transfer window, Sliema added another Maltese goalkeeper to their squad in youth Rashed Al-Tumi who returned to Malta after his Serie D spell at Nocerina.
