Maria Farrugia and her Sunderland Ladies side have endured their eighth defeat of their FA Women’s Championship, on Sunday afternoon.
The Lassies hosted Crystal Palace on home soil in their 15th league game of the season and fell to a 1-0 defeat, thanks to a first-half goal.
Malta women’s international Farrugia was deployed from the start as she played the full game for Sunderland Ladies.
Farrugia’s side have slipped into third bottom with 13 points and they will face Blackburn Rovers next in the championsip, in away game on March 13.
