The Kenpo Karate have embarked on the Maltese islands as the Cottonera Sport Complex is hosting the European Championships.

The event, which has brought together a number of nations namely Italy, United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, Ireland and Greece, started on Thursday and is set to bring the curtains down on Sunday.
Three finals are pencilled for Saturday which will see participants involved in the ‘Forms’, ‘Self-Defence and ‘Sparring’ events.
These European Championships will also include seminars where a number of high-profile Kenpo Karate Masters will be lecturing the participant athletes.
This event is organised by the IKKA-Europe which has give members in its organisational committee. These are United Kingdom’s Sinead Bryne, Ireland’s Paul Dowling, Dawn Venton from Jersey, Netherlands pair Vincent Van Wees and Ernst Blikslager together with Italy’s Carlo Antonelli, who is also the CEO of IKKA-Europe.
IKKA-Europe is also backed by a Board of Thrustee which is composed of black-belted masters that are also present on our shores namely Roy Macdonald, Paul Dowling, Jose Maria Gutierrez and Jose Henrique Hernandez.
A group of athletes between the age of 18 and 35, forming part of ‘The Next Generation’, are also among the guests in the European Championsips in Malta.
