Swieqi United women’s team have made another important announcement after confirming the contract extension of promising player Jade Schembri.
Schembri, 23, is a right-back who has established herself as an important player at The Owls.
A product of Tarxien Rainbows, she has also played for Hibernians before moving to Swieqi.
Last February, Schembri made her international debut during Malta’s victory over Moldova in the Visit Malta Women’s Tournament.
Meanwhile, Hibernians have added another piece to their squad after signing winger Yolande Attard.
The 28-year-old has joined Hibernians after spending the previous season on the books of Kirkop United.
Throughout her career, Attard played with Swieqi United and Mġarr United. She has also spent six months on loan at Hibernians as well, meaning this will be a return for her at the Paolites.
She is also a former Malta international.
