Birkirkara women’s team have continued to reinforce their squad as they close on their season debut when they face Bosnia-Herzegovina’s SFK Sarajevo in the Champions League.
Winners of last season’s domestic title, Birkirkara have brought in two Italians which will strengthen their offensive department.
Marta Grosso, born in 2001, and 2002-born Gaia Milan are the Italian pair who have joined the Stripes.
They are the back of a spell at Tavagnacco where they played together with Malta international Nicole Sciberras during the previous season.
Grosso is a midfielder while Milan is often utilised as a winger as they both will form part of Birkirkara for the whole duration of next season.
Meanwhile, Birkirkara have acquired the services of English goalkeeper Erin White who will be part of the Stripes’ squad just for their Champions League games.
White was at Park View Academy of Sport which she joined in September 2020, with whom she played at U-17’s level.
Recently, she was also on trial at West Ham and Manchester United women’s team as well.
