Swieqi United coach Judith Kuipers and midfielder Shona Zammit have been named Coach of the Round and Player of the Month respectively.
Dutch coach Kuipers has won the first Assikura Women’s League Coach of the Round award of the 2022/23 campaign in her maiden season in Maltese football.
She has been in charge of the team since the start of this season, helping the Owls collect 14 points from seven games as they strive to challenge for the Assikura Women’s League title.
During the month of November, Swieqi United gained seven points after beating Hibernians and Raiders Lija while drawing with Mġarr United.
Midfielder Shona Zammit was prominent with her dynamic performances, also weighing in with two goals. Her contribution has earned Zammit the Assikura Women’s League Player of the Month award for November.
Vella Barberi wins Youth League award
Meanwhile, Sarah Vella Barberi, of Raiders Lija, has won the Assikura Women’s Youth League Player Of the Month for November.
The Malta U-19 international has been a regular player in the Raiders Lija team, the pacesetters in the Assikura Women’s Youth League with a total of 19 points.
During November, Vella Barberi scored one goal and was an instrumental in her team’s victories over Hibernians and Birkirkara.
