Balzan have announced another summer signing in Manyluak Aguek.
Aguek, 23, joins from Avondale FC of the NPL Victoria – Australia’s second-tier in its football pyramid.
In 2023, Aguek – who plays as a forward – scored seven goals and produced four assists in 10 games for Avondale FC.
Previously, he was also on the books of two Australian top-flight teams in Central Coast Marines, Balzan’s sister club, and Western United.
He made his A-League debut in December 2021 when he came on from the bench for the Mariners in a 2-0 win over Western Sydney Wanderers.
That remains his only appearance for the club before joining Western United with whom he featured twice – in May and June 2021, vs Macarthur (1-2) and Central Coast Mariners (0-2).
Balzan described the forward, who has a South Sudanese citizenship as well, as a quick player with a good eye for goal while he can play both as an attacking midfielder or a striker.
