Matthew Guillaumier has completed his move to Polish top division side Stal Mielec.
The Times of Malta reported on Thursday that the Malta international was on the verge of completing a move to the Polish side on a free transfer.
And the Polish side confirmed Guillaumier as their new player on Thursday when they presented the Malta international as their latest signing.
The former Birkirkara and Ħamrun Spartans midfielder has put pen to paper on a two-year deal and has an option of a further year with the Polish side.
For Guillaumier, a move to Stal Mielec represents a new challenge in his career after earlier this month he came to an agreement with Ħamrun Spartans to terminate his contract.
This will be his third stint with a club away from our shores as earlier in his career he donned the colours of the Empoli Primavera side and two years ago spent a six-month loan spell with Italian Serie C side Siena.
Stal Mielec is going through a squad overhaul this summer as media reports said that the Polish side have parted way with 15 players in the close season and have brought in 13 new players.
Stal Mielec open their 2023-24 campaign with their first league match of the season when they host Cracovia on July 22.
