Malta international scored his third top-flight goal in Reims’ draw at Metz
Teddy Teuma’s inspiring form in Ligue 1 continued over the weekend as he notched his third goal for Reims in France’s top-flight.
On Sunday, Teuma’s side shared the spoils in a thrilling 2-2 draw with Metz as Reims sit fourth with two wins and a draw.
The Malta international scored a brilliant low-drive in the second half to follow up last week’s spectacular brace at Montpellier.
His impressive shift in the midfield earned him another spot in Ligue 1’s Team of the Week powered by livescore application Sofascore.
With a rating of 8.5, Teuma slotted himself into a four-man midfield alongside key names like Achraf Hakimi of Paris Saint-Germain, scorer against Lyon over the weekend and Monaco’s Takumi Minamino.
Against Metz, Teuma was on the field for 71 minutes where he registered 62 touches with an 88% passing accuracy and two key passes.
Teuma’s club will host Brest when the Ligue 1 resumes following the international window during which the Reims midfielder will be part of the Malta squad that will host Gibraltar and North Macedonia.
