Malta international Jodi Jones has continued to add more individual accolades in this magical week after being included in the EFL Two Team of the Week which is open for players that feature in the Championship, League One and League Two.
This comes after his two assists in Notts County’s 3-1 win over Newport County earlier this week.
For Jones, these two assists propelled him to 20 in League Two as he continues to extend the record of assists in England’s fourth-tier.
“Notts County star Jodi Jones continued his impressive form this season when he laid on the assists for two of his side’s three goals in the win at Newport on Tuesday night,” the English Football League’s official website had to say about his inclusion.
“Those would mark Jones’ 19th and 20th assists in League Two this season, remarkably, no other player has registered more than nine.
As well as his efforts in front of goal, Jones also provided four key passes and completed five dribbles, to return a WhoScored.com rating of 9.41.”
