A huge crowd is expected to attend Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash between Ħamrun Spartans and Floriana at the National Stadium as tickets are selling fast for the match to be played at the National Stadium (kick-off: 3pm).
The match holds special significance for both sides’ ambitions of winning this year’s title.
At present, Ħamrun Spartans hold a one-point advantage over Floriana and victory on Satruday will see them mathematically crowned champions for a second successive season.
On the other hand, Floriana have no margin of error and will be gunning for all three points to leapfrog the Spartans at the top ahead of next week’s title finale.
Tickets went on sale this week and both Ħamrun Spartans and Floriana have announced that their has been great demand for tickets from their respective set of fans for the match.
An agreement has been reached between the two clubs over where their fans will be located at the National Stadium, with Floriana supporters sitting at the Enclosure End, while Ħamrun Spartans will throng the Millennium Stand.
On Wednesday night, Floriana FC announced that West side A was sold out while tickets for West C were being sold fast.
“West A is officially SOLD OUT, and tickets from West C (also enclosure) are flying off the shelves too!,” Floriana said in a statement.
“Huge thanks to our incredible supporters for their overwhelming response. Your passion fuels our fire! Let’s make some noise and paint the stadium green and white!”
On the other hand, Ħamrun Spartans have also announced tickets for their side were also selling fast.
Speaking during the club’s radio programme, the club’s CEO Marcel Bonnici said that the Spartans had sold over two thousand tickets so far.
On Tuesday, the Spartans had managed to sell 1,000 tickets and yesterday another 1,200 were snapped up by their supporters.
On Thursday, another 1,300 tickets will be put on sale by the Spartans.
