Lexine Farrugia scored twice to help Sampdoria clinch the spoils with a 2-1 win in the Genoa derby, last Sunday.
The Maltese player was part of the U-17’s selection of Sampdoria as they are currently involved in the Scudetto play-offs.
Last weekend, Farrugia made her U-17’s debut, scoring in a 4-2 victory over Torino.
Sampdoria have two games more to play in this category against Bule’ Bellinzago and Rhodense as they vie for a quarter-final spot.
Farrugia was on the books of the U-19’s squad this season, taking the league by a storm as she scored against some of the biggest names in Italian football including Juventus and Inter.
She has also made her senior debut in a Coppa Italia tie against Juventus.
