Daniel Letherby bid farewell to Santa Lucia as the Malta U-21 midfielder is set to join Malta champions Ħamrun Spartans.
Letherby is set to become the latest player from Santa Lucia to follow their former coach Alessandro Zinnari at Ħamrun Spartans.
Zinnari left Santa Lucia last month and agreed terms with Ħamrun Spartans to replace fellow Italian coach Luciano Zauri at the ten-time Malta champions.
Inevitably, Zinnari opted to bring some talent from Santa Lucia and Letherby is set to become the third player to move the Spartans from the Saints this summer.
Ħamrun Spartans have already agreed deals to bring to the club Brazilian goalkeeper Francisco Celio Da Paz and young defender Matthias Ellul.
Letherby was part of the Malta U-19 team that competed in the European Championship finals held on our islands last summer.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder started last season in the US where he donned the colours of Corpus Christi FC but then decided to move to the Maltese Premier League where he made 12 appearances and scored two goals.
