Sliema Wanderers have confirmed the signing of Steve Pisani, formerly of Santa Lucia.
The 2024 FA Trophy winners have been one of the most active clubs in the Premier League in the close season and have now secured the services of another Malta international player.
“Steve Pisani is officially a Blue,” Sliema Wanderers said in a statement.
“The 31-year-old Maltese international midfielder joins the Blues on a permanent basis.”
The capture of Pisani is another transfer coup for the Wanderers and coach Paul Zammit as he is adding to his squad a very experienced midfielder who is also a regular member of Michele Marcolini’s national team.
Pisani was part of the Malta team that face the Czech Republich in Austria last Friday.
The former Floriana and Gżira United midfielder is the third Malta international player to join the Wanderers this month.
Sliema have alread put seal to the transfers of wing backs Cain Attard and Adam Magri Overend.
Pisani is expected to start his experience with his new team this week when the Wanderers start their pre-season preparations ahead of their commitments in the second qualifying round of the Conference League.
