Ulises Arias is set to part ways with Floriana in the coming hours but is set to continue his career in the Maltese Premier League, the Times of Malta can confirm.
The 27-year-old has been on the books of Floriana for the past five years and has been an integral member of the first-team squad.
In fact, the hard-working midfielder played a key role during his time at the club to help the team be crowned as Malta champions in 2020 as well as winning the FA Trophy in 2022, defeating arch rivals Valletta in the final.
Last season, Arias was a regular member in Mauro Camoranesi squad for the first half of the season but then struggled to make the team’s starting XI.
Now, Arias’ spell at Floriana is set to come to an end after he failed to agree on a new contract with the Greens and is set to seek pastures new.
It is understood that Arias has attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs and one of them is Marsaxlokk FC.
Arias is likely to settle his future in the coming days when he takes his decision on who will be his new club.
