Young Maltese football player Sara Saliba is set to continue her career in Italy after she agreed terms to join the Primavera side of Serie A side AC Milan, the Times of Malta can confirm.
In fact, the young player was at Milanello on Tuesday where she under went a medical before finalising the move.
Saliba is seen as one of the rising talents of Maltese football and in fact in the past few weeks she was handed her senior debut with the women’s national team when coming on as a substitute in the Euro 2025 qualifier against Portugal.
For Saliba, this will be her second stint in Italy.
Last season, she started the campaign with Pomigliano but then opted to return to Malta where she joined Birkirkara.
Saliba helped Birkirkara to secure an impressive treble of honours last season, lifting the Super Cup, the National League and the Knock Out competition.
The young player netted Birkirkara’s second goal in a 2-0 win over Hibernians in the KO final.
