Atalanta have signed Italy defender Raoul Bellanova from Torino, the Serie A club announced on Thursday.
Bellanova has signed for a reported fee of 25 million euros ($27.8 million) and is expected to take the place of Davide Zappacosta in Atalanta’s backline.
The 24-year-old, who has two international caps, is Atalanta’s eighth signing of a busy summer transfer window in which Netherlands midfielder Teun Koopmeiners has pushed for a move to Juventus.
Both Koopmeiners and forward Ademola Lookman had been dropped for Atalanta’s 4-0 thrashing of Lecce at the weekend but Lookman is back training with the first team after Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in the Nigeria forward cooled.
Atalanta travel to Torino on Sunday.
