A few days after being named last season’s PFA best player in League Two, Jodi Jones delighted his Notts County fans with a stunning goal and assist en route to a 4-1 win over Grimsby Town, on Thursday.
The Magpies, playing in England’s fourth-tier, have now recorded their first win of the season after two draws in their opening couple of outings in this 2024/2025 campaign.
Malta international Jones assisted Notts County’s second goal to record his second assist in three League Two matches this season.
Afterwards, he beat Grimsby Town goalkeeper with a delightful shot that hit the woodwork before ricocheting into the net for his opening goal of the season.
