Francesca Bartolo is set to continue her career in Italy as the 17-year-old agreed terms to join Sassuolo.
The young talented midfielder is the latest Maltese female player to pursue a career away from our shores as earlier this week Kaysia Micallef, the former Swieqi United player, agreed to join Sampdoria.
Bartolo, born in 2007, was on the books of Valletta after heading to the capital club from Raiders-Lija.
The young midfielder is seen as one of the most promising players in Maltese football at the moment and forms part of the youth selection of the national team.
Bartolo is looking at her move to Sassuolo as an opportunity to maximise her undoubted talent and agreed terms on a one-year contract with the Italian club.
At Sassuolo, Bartolo is set to form part of the Primavera team that kick off their league commitments in September.
