Malta women has discovered its opponents of the second edition of the UEFA Women’s Nations League following Thursday’s draw, in Nyon.
Manuela Tesse, whose contract runs until 2024 but is expected to renew, will guide Malta in League C Group 2 where they will face Georgia, Cyprus and Andorra.
They will be featuring in the third-tier after their relegation from League B during the recent UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifications where they rubbed shoulders with Portugal, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Northern Ireland.
In the first edition of the Nations League, which ran in 2023, Malta had topped its League C group, which included Andorra, clinching a historic promotion to the second-tier.
League C’s six group winners will be promoted to League B.
Meanwhile, the two best-ranked second-placed teams will play off against the two best third-placed teams of League B for a spot in the second-tier.
The Nations League promotions and relegations will determine the upcoming 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifications pots.

MATCHDAYS 1 & 2 – February 19-26, 2025.
MATCHDAYS 3 & 4 – April 2-8, 2025.
MATCHDAYS 5 & 6 – May 28-June 3.
Promotion/relegation play-offs draws will be held on June 6.
The two-legged matches will then be played between October 22-28, 2025.
