The Assikura Women’s League is back for Matchday 10, with Birkirkara set to face Swieqi United in the headline fixture.
These two teams will also meet in the Super Cup showdown on December 8, announced last week.
Currently, champions Birkirkara lead the standings with 22 points, having capitalized on Hibernians’ recent defeat to Mġarr United.
Swieqi United sit in third place with 19 points, keeping the competition tight among the top four.
In their first-round encounter, Birkirkara claimed a commanding 4-1 victory over Swieqi.
Birkirkara will be captained by Alishia Cassar, who recently achieved a milestone of 100 goals in domestic competitions and a century of goals for the Stripes as well.
Hibernians, meanwhile, are eager to rebound after their setback against Mġarr.
They will face Mtarfa this week, though they will be without playmaker Joelma and defender Amber Galea due to one-game suspensions.
On the other hand, American defender Natalee Geren is set to return, boosting the squad’s lineup.
Mġarr, currently fourth with 18 points, will play Valletta, who stand on 8 points, as they aim to keep pace with the league leaders.
The weekend’s other fixture sees San Ġwann and Lija Athletic going head-to-head, with San Ġwann on 10 points and Lija on 6 points.
