Sliema Wanderers have bolstered their forward line with the acquisition of Malta international striker Kyrian Nwoko, the Times of Malta can confirm.
The Wanderers have been working hard during the past few days to try and strengthen their forward line and have set their sights on signing the 27-year-old forward.
This season, Nwoko has struggled to secure regular football at Floriana and was open to seek a new challenge in a bid to be allowed to secure more playing minutes.
Sources have told the Times of Malta that talks between the two clubs accelerated on Tuesday and an agreement was finally reached that will see Nwoko move to the Wanderers in a permanent transfer.
Nwoko has been at Floriana for the past two years and a half after he moved to the Vilhena Club in 2022 after resuming his career after putting his career on hold in March 2022.
Nwoko started his career at St Andrews before joining Valletta where he managed to win two league titles before enjoying a spell with Irish club St Patrick’s Athletic.
At Sliema Wanderers, Nwoko will be determined to relaunch his career and reconfirm the prolific status that made him a regular national team member.
On their part Floriana, are expected to bring in two attacking reinforcements in the coming days, with one of them being Bolivian attacking midfielder Gabriel Sotomayor, while Kemar Reid has recovered from injury and will further add options for coach Darren Abdilla.
